Good Faith Estimate — Your Rights Under the No Surprises Act
Under the No Surprises Act (effective January 1, 2022), you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for any non-emergency healthcare service, including mental health services. You may request a written Good Faith Estimate before scheduling your appointment or at any time during your care. If your final bill exceeds the Good Faith Estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to dispute it. For more information, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
